He has performed globally, with recent highlights including recitals in Taipei and Brazil. He has also concertized in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, a part of the U.S. State Department’s Cultural Envoy program, and taught at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music.

He is a founding member of the Boulder Piano Quartet, which is currently in residence at The Academy in Boulder and a founding member of the Prometheus Piano Quartet. He is fanatical about championing the work of other composers and has performed and recorded works by David Carlson, Robert Xavier, Lera Auerbach, Paul Schonfield and Aaron Jay Kernis among others.

Alongside his touring schedule, Korevaar is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he is only the second person to bear that tile in the College of Music. Before joining the University of Colorado, he taught at the Westport School of Music in Connecticut.

If that weren’t enough, Korevaar is an accomplished composer who has composed works for solo piano, a piano concerto, chamber ensemble, and chamber orchestra.

His work has been widely recognized and he is the recipient of the Richard French award from the Juilliard School, top prizes from the University of Maryland William Kapell International Piano Competition as well as the prize for best performance of French music at the Robert Casadesus International Competition.
