Alexander Wasserman, a Los Angeles native, is a leading chamber musician, concerto soloist and educator. After beginning formal piano studies as a child, he went on to get degrees from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. More recently, he has completed the Doctor of Musical Arts program in Piano Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music

Dr. Wasserman has performed with the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, Thousand Oaks Philharmonic (CA), New Valley Symphony (CA), Suburban Symphony (OH), Santa Barbara Choral Society and Orchestra (CA), The DeKalb Symphony (GA), The Rome Symphony (GA), Reinhardt Symphony, Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra, and Parma Symphonia as a concerto soloist performing the works of Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky among others.

As a chamber musician, he frequently works with members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and has performed as a guest pianist with both the Riverside Chamber Players and the Atlanta Chamber Players. The most recent chamber music concerts include performances on the Atlanta Symphony “Pre-Concert Chamber Music Series” at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

Dr. Wasserman is devoted to the education of emerging talent and holds the title of Assistant Professor of Piano at Reinhardt University, GA. He was a Professor of Piano at Youngstown State University, OH before moving to Atlanta. He is also the Founder and Artistic Director of the Reinhardt Piano Festival and Academy, a one-week summer piano festival held at Reinhardt University.

Dr. Wasserman has a private piano studio where students have been prizewinners at state and national competitions, including the GMEA All-State Competition, the Nashville International Piano Competition, the Rising Stars Competition, and the Osaka International Competition.

Dr. Alexander Wasserman continues to perform in concert on a regular basis, with recent recitals in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, La Jolla (San Diego), San Francisco, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Portland (OR), Santa Barbara, and Washington D.C., among other cities. His concerts are frequently televised and played live on radio stations across the country.
